Under clean and green revolution programme, an urgent need has been felt to develop mitigation devices and pollution control instruments. Through this paper, discussion has been made on pollution thrust emanating in atmosphere from stacks and its control through indigenous technology and control instruments developed in India to meet the techno-economical needs of country. Main emphasis has been laid on need-based requirement of modified cupola refractory furnace, Incinerator, Scrubber and low voltage electrostatic precipitator.
